Orange cones, barricades, detours and lane closures have become a familiar sight on San Antonio roads as the Texas Department of Transportation works on projects across the city.

A major crash and fuel spill on I-35 southbound at the Guadalupe River in New Braunfels has prompted a temporary road closure, according to police.

Huebner Road will be closed in both directions between Lockhill Selma and Vance Jackson because Union Pacific Railroad will be working on the tracks in the area.

SAN ANTONIO – Drivers — you may need to adjust your route this weekend. The Texas Department of Transportation will close parts of SH 151 in west San Antonio, beginning at 9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 16 until 5 a.m., Monday, Oct. 19. The closure will include SH 151 main lanes just west of I-410 to just east of I-410 and a full closure of SH 151 eastbound to westbound turnaround, according to TxDOT. Officials said the closures will allow for the continued construction of the flyover ramps and installation of steel beams in the area. The eastbound SH 151 flyover ramp to northbound I-410 will stay open to traffic during the road closures.

SAN ANTONIO – One man has been hospitalized following a major car crash on the northbound lanes of Interstate 37 at Fair Ave Thursday morning. San Antonio police officers said a man was driving a BMW car at a high rate of speed and passing slower vehicles on the highway around 9:20 a.m. The driver swerved to the left to avoid a vehicle, overcorrected to the right and hit a concrete wall. The driver, in his 30s, was ejected from his vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt, police said. The northbound lanes on the highway have since reopened.

SAN ANTONIO – The intersection of De Zavala and Lockhill-Selma roads is closed for possibly three days following a water line rupture. Get latest traffic conditionsWhile the water line is being repaired, drivers will need to take a detour around the area. Traffic on De Zavala will be able to continue through the intersection, but drivers on Lockhill-Selma Road will need to detour at Indian Woods Street. De Zavala Lockhill-Selma road closure (KSAT)Drivers coming from Loop 1604 to Lockhill-Selma Road will need to turn around to access a different route. Uniformed officers will be in the area to direct traffic around the intersection.
