Man shot, killed by truck owner after stealing vehicle on Southeast Side identified by medical examiner
A man in his 30s who stole a vehicle from a North Side home on Wednesday was shot and killed after the owners of the pickup truck tracked it down on the Southeast Side and took matters into their own hands, according to San Antonio police.
Officer, juvenile vehicle robbery suspect crash during pursuit on Southwest Side, San Antonio police say
SAN ANTONIO โ San Antonio police say an officer and a suspect are in the hospital after a pursuit led to a crash on the Southwest Side. According to police, a juvenile female suspect stole a black truck from another juvenile female who suffered a broken leg when trying to get her vehicle back from the suspect. The suspect in the vehicle did not stop, and a supervisor authorized the officer to pursue the truck, police said. The pursuit ended at Old Pearsall Road and West Military when the suspect crashed into an officer headed down the opposite way of traffic, according to police. Police say the South Patrol officer is a 2-year veteran of the department.
Owner of stolen vehicle shoots suspected thief on West Side, police say
SAN ANTONIO โ The owner of a stolen vehicle shot the suspected thief on San Antonioโs West Side, police said Monday evening. Police said a family found their stolen vehicle with people inside at the location. At some point, an argument ensued, and the vehicle owner shot one of the people inside, police said. Police say theyโre questioning the owner of the vehicle. They say they are still looking for a woman who was also inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting who ran from the scene.
