'Glee' actor Salling charged with possessing child porn

Mark Salling, 33, played Noah 'Puck' Puckerman

LOS ANGELES – Former "Glee" actor Mark Salling has been arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, police told USA Today.

Salling, 33, played Noah "Puck" Puckerman on the show. He was arrested Tuesday after Los Angeles police served a search warrant on his home in the L.A. neighborhood of Sunland, USA Today reported.

"He was taken into custody this morning for possession of child porn," Officer Aaron Jefferson of the Los Angeles Police Department told People magazine.

TMZ.com reported that officers found hundreds of images of children on Salling's computer.

Salling was sued in 2013 for sexual battery by an ex-girlfriend, USA Today reported. After a countersuit, the case was settled in March 2015 and Salling was ordered by a trial judge to pay her $2.7 million.
