From food truck to restaurant, Chela's Tacos provides great food

Flavor Favs: Chela's Tacos

SAN ANTONIO – For 10 years, Chela's Tacos had been known for their food truck, but two years ago owner Celia Davis decided to expand and open a brick-and-mortar on 5231 Broadway St.

"My idea was real authentic Mexican food," Davis said.

The menu options are both limitless and healthy.

It was very important for Davis to make food that was natural and good for you.

And while it may seem like a hard thing to do with Mexican food, Davis has found ways around using traditional lards and fats.

Something that is not common in other places that is welcomed at Chela's Tacos is ordering off the menu.

They will try to create anything you like and want everyone to enjoy their food, even if you are picky or have certain food allergies.

With great reviews online, the restaurant looks to be just as popular as their food truck and will surely leave a lasting mark in Alamo Heights.
