Here's a delicious breakfast bowl with awesome Apple Compote added
Oatmeal and Quinoa Breakfast Bowl with Warm Awesome Apple Compote
Prep Time: 10 min. Cook Time: 20 min.
Ingredients:
2 large apples, diced
1 tbsp molasses full flavor
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup(s) steel cut oats
1 pkg. Central Market White and Red Quinoa, quick heat
1 1/2 Tsp ground cinnamon, reserve 1/2 tsp. for apples
1 tbsp vanilla extract
24 oz H-E-B Fat Free Milk
Instructions:
Place apples in saucepan. Add molasses, maple syrup, spices and lemon juice.
Cook over medium heat until apples are soft.
While apples are cooking, in a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine oats, quinoa, cinnamon, vanilla, and milk. Bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat and cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
