Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector now taking credit cards

SAN ANTONIO – Bexar County Tax Assessor-Collector Sylvia Romo announced Wednesday that each of her office locations will now accept major credit cards.

Romo said that customers will not have to worry about running out of cash or losing a place in line because each clerk will be able to process credit payments.

Processing fees for using a credit card on property tax or registering motor vehicles is 2.35 percent of the total paid, or a $2 flat fee for amounts under $100.

Paying property taxes by e-check online or over the phone has been reduced to a fee of $1.
