Boy, 8, said Michael Scheper whipped him with belt, punched, kicked him

SAN ANTONIO – An 8-year-old West Side boy told police Michael Scheper, 30, whipped him with a belt, punched and kicked him for misbehaving in school.

An arrest affidavit stated that the boy's mother came home from work on Oct. 25 and noticed bruises on her son's face and body.

She told detectives she questioned Scheper about the boy's injuries and he responded that the knows how to discipline her children, the affidavit stated.

The woman called police, who then questioned the child. The affidavit stated that the 8-year-old boy told detectives he had received some marks in his folder for bad behavior in school, and as a result, Scheper beat him.

He said Scheper whipped him with a belt, punched him all over his body and kicked him while he was in the restroom.

The woman told detectives she ordered Scheper to leave her home, but that she feared he might harm her and her family for calling police.

Records show Scheper was arrested on a charge of injury to a child along with some outstanding charges for theft.
