SAN ANTONIO – A Cibolo church community is taking their prayers to the streets. Members of Everyday Christian Fellowship started their prayer walk Sunday evening in front off their church, which happens to be the location of the proposed Walmart.
Numerous groups have protested the Walmart site off Borgfeld Road and Cibolo Valley Drive because they say the addition will not be safe with the church and a school nearby.
"We're not protesting anything, we are praying for the needs of our community. We are praying for God's will to be done and people in our community," said Corey Webb, Pastor at Everyday Christian Fellowship. "It's very important to know that Everyday Christian Fellowship is supporting Matthew 6:33 to seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and everything we'll need will come to us."
Sunday night was the first of many prayer walks the church will be holding in different parts of their community to pray for their neighbors and their families.
