SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Fire Department Arson Unit is investigating two separate fires that broke out Tuesday night.

The first fire broke out around 11 p.m. at the Diamond Ridge Apartments in the 5300 block of Glen Ridge.

Firefighters said it started in the kitchen of a vacant unit and was contained to that area, No injuries were reported and arson was called to investigate. Damage estimates were unknown.

The second fire broke out in a detached garage near Pleasanton Road and Gerald.

Fire officials were not sure how the fire started, but said they have a person of interest. No one was injured and the fire left at least $25,000 in damages.
