A former Memorial High School science teacher accused of sexually assaulting and impregnating a student is facing a new charge.
Marcus Revilla, 44, has now been charged with possession of child pornography.
According to an arrest affidavit, Revilla confessed to having sexual relations with the minor on March 27, and was placed on administrative leave then asked to leave Memorial High School.
The next day Revilla sent a text message to a fellow teacher that said he had forgotten his backpack in his classroom, and asked if the teacher could retrieve it, the affidavit stated.
The teacher turned the backpack over to the school principal and the principal found a laptop inside and called police, the affidavit stated.
Detectives obtained a warrant to search the laptop's hard drive and found pornographic photos and videos of the victim, the affidavit stated.
The victim confirmed the laptop belonged to Revilla and said he had taken the pictures and videos, the affidavit stated.
A previous affidavit stated Revilla started the improper relationship with a student last September when she was 15 years old. Police say she is now 16 years old and pregnant.
