Wreck between big rig, dump truck leads to fuel spill
SAN ANTIONIO – An 18-wheeler and dump truck collided on the far North Side late Wednesday night, causing a fuel spill on the road.
The crash occurred along the Loop 1604 access road at Shavano Ranch just before midnight.
Police said nearly 40 gallons of fuel was spilled on the access road, and Hazmat crews were called to the scene.
Hazmat remained on scene for several hours cleaning up the spill, but the access road was reopened by Thursday morning's rush hour.
Police said no injuries were reported, but the driver of the dump truck did not have a commercial drivers license.
