Adam Morales, 18, arrested in shooting of Casey Blanton, 23
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police arrested a teenager Tuesday wanted in the shooting death of a man on Aug. 24.
Adam Morales, 18, is accused of shooting 23-year-old Casey Blanton while he was driving on Loop 410 and Old Pearsall Road.
Blanton was taken to the hospital where he died several days later.
Investigators say Blanton was forced into an unfortunate situation.
"There is information in the case that the suspect vehicle was driving around trying to initiate confrontations with other vehicles prior to his coming into contact with the victim. And by some accounts, he may have been looking for trouble and unfortunately for this victim he was in the wrong place at the wrong time," said Sgt. Javier Salazar of the San Antonio Police Department.
Police are asking for anyone who may have been in the car with Morales at the time of the shooting to turn themselves in for questioning.
