Kerrville police and suspect exchange gunfire after chase

A chaotic scene in the usually quiet hill country town

KERRVILLE, Texas – After a chase through the Hill Country town, officers and a suspect exchanged gunfire Friday afternoon, according to Kerrville PD spokesman Juan Trevizo.

Police say that around 2:30 p.m., Kerrville police and Kerr County sheriff's officers were following a wanted person and attempted to stop the vehicle.

The car, with two men and a woman inside, took off. The chase did reach high speeds at times as it crisscrossed town.

The chase ended in the parking lot at River Hills Mall, where the car ran into some deputies vehicles. 

Gunfire was exchanged by the suspects and officers but there were no hits and no injuries. and the suspects surrendered.  The two men were arrested. The wanted suspect, Sidney Hollimon faces numerous charges. The driver of the vehicle, John Srausto, was charged with evading arrest. No word on what charges the woman may face.
