Body found in 18-wheeler at SW Bexar County truck stop

Manager spots body at Pilot truck stop off I-35

BEXAR COUNTY, TexasUPDATE: The Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has ruled that the man's death was due to natural causes.

STORY: Bexar County Sheriff's Office investigators are looking into the death of man who was found unresponsive Wednesday afternoon inside an 18-wheeler at a truck stop in the southwest part of the county.

The discovery was made around 3 p.m. at a Pilot truck stop off of Interstate 35 South, just past Loop 1604.

Sheriff's officials said the general manager at the gas station first noticed the 18-wheeler on the property and noticed the unresponsive man inside.

The manager called the Sheriff's Office, and when deputies and emergency responders arrived, they found the man dead.

The name and age of the man are not being released at this time.

Sheriff's officials said Wednesday night it's not clear how the man died. Investigators are waiting on autopsy results, which should be back in about a week.
