Man wounded in Northeast Side shooting

Incident occurred around 3 a.m. in 11300 block of Roszell Street

SAN ANTONIO – A man is in the hospital following an early morning shooting on the city's Northeast Side, San Antonio police said Friday.

The shooting occurred around 3 a.m. in the 11300 block of Roszell Street, found near Perrin Beitel Road and Wurzbach Parkway.

Police said a man in his 20s told them three men in black clothing kicked open his front door and started shooting, hitting him in the shoulder, arm and leg.

Officers at the scene however said they question the man's story, noting the lack of forced entry and shell casings. They say the man also continues to be uncooperative.

Police said the man shot was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing.
