Sex offender from NE San Antonio missing

Joseph Hernandez, 21, wanted since Oct. 2014

SAN ANTONIO – A convicted sex offender accused of violating the sex offender registry has been missing -- and wanted -- since Oct. 2014.

The US Marshals Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is asking for help to find Joseph Anthony Hernandez, 21.

"In October 2014, a warrant was issued for Hernandez's arrest after he allegedly failed to register as a sex offender and failed to report to his supervision officer," said Deputy Chris Bozeman.

Hernandez pleaded guilty in Nov. 2012 to charges of indecency with a child through sexual contact. He was required to register as a sex offender, which includes reporting his address to police.

"His last known place of residence was on the Northeast side of San Antonio," said Bozeman.

Hernandez is 5'1" tall and weighs 140 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.

If you have any information on Hernandez's whereabouts, call the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force at 210-657-8500.
