The same viewer emailed KSAT a video that showed the gator being taken by what appeared to be a game warden in Wilson County.
Wilson County officials have not said where the gator came from or how large it was.
Alligators are fairly common in the waters of East Texas and South Texas, and one was recently spotted on Calaveras Lake.
