WILSON COUNTY, Texas – A large gator was spotted on Thursday morning along a road in Wilson County.
A viewer emailed an image of the gator to KSAT and said it was spotted off County Road 536 headed into Floresville near the San Antonio River.
The same viewer emailed KSAT a video that showed the gator being taken by what appeared to be a game warden in Wilson County.
Wilson County officials have not said where the gator came from or how large it was.
Alligators are fairly common in the waters of East Texas and South Texas, and one was recently spotted on Calaveras Lake.
Last month, local kayaker and angler Eugene Mora posted a video of a large gator floating in the waters of Calaveras Lake near the dam.
Mora told KSAT that particular gator appeared to be about 7- to 8-feet long.
