Crime Stoppers seeks person who stole money from food market

SAN ANTONIO – Crime Stoppers of San Antonio is asking for the public's help in identifying and finding the person responsible for stealing money from a food market.

The person entered the Ali Baba International Food Market between 1:50 p.m. and 2 p.m. on June 17.

Crime Stoppers said he walked to an unoccupied owner or manager's office shortly after entering the market. He was in the office for less than a minute and left the office with a large sum of money.

He quickly left the market and walked to his vehicle parked at the Church's Chicken lot next door, Crime Stoppers said.

The vehicle is described as a white 2007-2009 model Chevrolet Colorado Z-71. Crime Stoppers said it is equipped with a black tonneau cover and sporty aftermarket wheels and tires.

Crime Stoppers said it will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for the felony theft. Tipsters can call 210-224-STOP (7867). Tipsters do not have to give their name when calling.
