Trio who stabbed mother of SAPD officer, DPS trooper still at-large

Dorothy Lubbock was killed in 1996

SAN ANTONIO – In 1996, Dorothy Lubbock's sons wore badges with two different law enforcement agencies. That year, she was killed -- a crime that still has not been solved.

San Antonio police released few details about the crime.

Lubbock was found stabbed to death inside her home on Roosevelt Avenue. Police said three men were seen running in the area.

"It appears at this time the motive for this murder was robbery," police said.

Police said she had one son who was with the San Antonio Police Department and one who was a trooper with the Texas Department of Public Safety.

SAPD's Cold Case Squad is still investigating the crime. If you have any information, call 210-207-7635.
