River Walk recognized as best Texas attraction in USA Today readers' choice contest San Antonio's River Walk tops list of best Texas attractions

SAN ANTONIO – One of San Antonio's most iconic tourist spots topped USA Today's 10Best list of Best Texas Attractions. The River Walk beat out Corpus Christi's Padre Island National Seashore and Houston's space center for the best tourist attraction in Texas.
According to USA Today's 10Best website , winners were selected by 10Best editors, along with an expert panel. Experts were selected based on their knowledge and experience of travel in Texas, the website said. The top 10 winners were determined by popular vote.
The following tourist attractions were named the best in Texas:
San Antonio River Walk - San Antonio
Padre Island National Seashore - Corpus Christi
Gruene Hall - New Braunfels
Moody Gardens - Galveston
Space Center Houston - Houston
The Alamo & San Antonio Missions - San Antonio
Palo Duro Canyon State Park - Canyon
Kimbell Art Museum - Fort Worth
Fort Worth Stockyards - Fort Worth
The Sixth Floor Museum - Dallas
