SAN ANTONIO – The family of the teenage boy police said was accidentally shot Friday morning gathered to celebrate his life.
Friends and family mourned the 15-year old boy outside a Southeast Side home.
Zenas Farias was shot in the arm and chest.
Police charged his half-brother, 20-year-old Daniel Farias with criminal negligent homicide.
Relatives said they have lost two members of their family.
“He was funny. He was crazy … Life was just fun to him,” said Laura Gutierrez, Zenas Farias’ aunt.
Police said Daniel Farias picked up a loaded gun from the couch and was reckless with it. His bond is set at $10,000.
Zenas Farias' family has set up a GoFundMe account to pay for funeral costs.
