ORLANDO – Walt Disney World guests were welcomed back to the land of magic Tuesday morning after the park closed its gates Sunday and Monday in preparation for Hurricane Irma’s landfall.
Although Irma stayed just west of Orlando, Florida, guests at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and the Animal Kingdom discovered damage in some areas of the parks.

Guests took to social media to share images of uprooted trees, parts of buildings, flooding and damaged fixtures.
Disney World’s main attractions primarily stayed intact, and one Twitter user calmed nerves by sharing a photo of Cinderella’s castle, saying, “24 hours later! Castle is still there!”
