MEDINA COUNTY, Texas – Medina County Sheriff’s Office Investigators broke up a drug ring in which investigators say those arrested were supplying meth to students in the area.
Two people were arrested Thursday night, and the sheriff said more arrests could be made.
KSAT was there as the suspects were hauled off to the county jail facing drug and theft charges.
“We have the dealer that was supplying the dealer, that was supplying meth to school kids and other people,” Sheriff Randy Brown said.
Brown said Mary Corona and Don Sigler were selling meth out of a Devine home. One of their alleged buyers, Paul Juarez, was arrested Monday.
Investigators said Juarez was selling to local students.

“The people that are buying this poison, it’s spread all over the place. If it's experimental for a young person to try, it’s one of the worst drugs,” Brown said.
The street value of one gram of the drugs found in the home is about $100.
“We chase drug dealers all the time, but when it’s kids, we’re going to chase them twice as hard,” Brown said. “It’s as simple as one of the grandkids saying, ‘Hey, there’s a kid at school and they’re saying they are high on drugs.’”
There are eight school districts in the county. KSAT reached out to Devine Independent School District, which is just 4 miles from the house. The district is not confirming students were involved but said it is following state and local policies to deal with the issue.
Investigators said Sigler was on probation and wearing an ankle monitor. County records show he’s been arrested four times, three of them this year. His latest arrest was last month for possession of a controlled substance.
