SAN ANTONIO – They say imitation is the best form of flattery. Decades after her death, Selena is still getting some major flattery from big names in Hollywood.

America Ferrera, Kim Kardashian West and Demi Lovato all donned their best midriff-bearing red jumpsuit and high-heels for Halloween.

Though never forgotten in South Texas, in recent years Selena’s popularity has continued to grow.

Selena Quitanilla will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, 22 years after her death.

Her family has recently started a makeup line with MAC and she was recently honored with a Google Doodle. She will also receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Friday, 22 years after her death.

She became the first Latino singer to debut at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200.

Selena continues to inspire many artists across all music genres.  

She made international headlines when she was murdered by Yolanda Saldivar, the founder of the Selena fan club.
