Walmart cashier's act of kindness helps calm older man

CLARKSDALE, Mississippi – A Facebook post has gone viral after a woman posted a heartwarming interaction between a Walmart cashier and an older customer.

Spring Herbison Bowlin posted a photo to Facebook with a story about what happened at the retailer last Thursday in Clarksdale, Mississippi.

A man starts to count change to pay for his items, but miscounts and starts to get flustered.

His voice and hands were shaking and he looked back and said, “I’m so sorry,” according to Bowlin.

The cashier took his hands and dumped all the change on the counter and said "This is not a problem, honey. We will do this together."

As the man continued apologizing the cashier was able to help him get the right change before he finished his transaction and left.

Bowlin said she thanked the cashier for helping the man and the cashier responded “You shouldn't have to thank me, baby. What's wrong with our world is we've forgotten how to love one another."

Bowlin ends the post with, “I want to be more like her (the cashier).”
