2 bodies found after Central Texas house fire
Fayette County sheriff believes women lived at home
No description foundWINCHESTER, Texas – Investigators have recovered the bodies of two elderly women after a fire at a Central Texas home.
The bodies were found at a home in Winchester, a small town between Bastrop and La Grange.
The Fayette County sheriff said the bodies have not been identified yet, but he believes the victims lived at the home.
The fire broke out Friday afternoon.
The Winchester Fire Department, La Grange Fire Department and the South Lee County Fire Department all helped to battle the flames.
The state fire marshal's office is investigating the cause of the fire.
Winchester is about 115 miles northeast of San Antonio.
