Funeral for slain San Marcos officer to be held next week Officer shot, killed while serving warrant No description found
SAN MARCOS, Texas – The funeral for the San Marcos officer killed on Monday will be held Wednesday.
A visitation will be held Tuesday at the Thomason Funeral Home in San Marcos from 1 to 10 p.m.
The funeral will be held Wednesday in San Antonio at 11 a.m. at the Community Bible Church.
Officer Kenneth Copeland was shot and killed while serving a warrant. The 58-year-old leaves behind a wife and four children.
An arrest warrant was issued for the man accused of shooting Copeland.
Stewart Thomas Mettz, 51, remains in a hospital in Austin after he was shot during a standoff with SWAT officers.
