Masked men sought in fatal shooting of teenager at mobile home park

SAN ANTONIO – A group of masked men shot and killed a teenager in retaliation to a robbery, police said.

The shooting was reported at 12:01 a.m. Friday at Valley Ridge Mobile Home Park in the 8600 block of Southwest Loop 410.

A police report said a group of three to four men confronted the victim in front of his mobile home, and when two of the men opened fire, wounding the man in the chest.

The victim, believed to be around 18 years old, died in the arms of the the victim's girlfriend's father, the victim's roommate said.

Police caught one of the men less than a half-mile away from the shooting at the Loop 410 access road near Old Pearsall Road, the report said.

The man told investigators that the victim had robbed him earlier, and he and the others went to confront the victim.

The man told police that he didn't shoot the victim, but he wouldn't say who pulled the trigger, and wouldn't give the names of the other men, the report said.
