SAN ANTONIO – A Night In Old San Antonio (NIOSA) starts on Tuesday and there are new bag policies in place attendees need to know about before heading to La Villita for this year's event.
As part of NIOSA’s plan to provide a safe environment for the public, large handbags and backpacks will not be allowed on festival grounds.
“Any bags, including diaper bags, larger than 12” x 12” x 6” and backpacks are prohibited,” according to NIOSA's official website. “We encourage the use of clear bags so that we can expedite entry into this event.”
NIOSA officials also said on the website thatclear and mesh backpacks will be allowed.
The site said any bags that are brought into the event may be subjected to a security screening.
“The prohibited bags will not be held or checked in at the gates,” NIOSA officials said.
