Victim told police man with shotgun showed up, shot him

SAN ANTONIO – A 45-year-old man was shot early Wednesday after he was apparently lured by a woman who asked him for help on the Northwest Side.

San Antonio police found the man at his apartment around 1 a.m. in the 5700 block of North Knoll, suffering from a gunshot wound to his thigh.

Police said the man told them a woman he knows asked him for help and drove her to a vacant home on La Barca Street.

They got out of the car when another man suddenly came out of the dark with a shotgun, a police report said. The gunman made the victim get back into his car.
