Coronavirus update San Antonio, May 24 Metro Health reports 183 new COVID-19 cases, 13 new deaths

More than 700,000 Bexar County residents fully vaccinated, according to state numbers

SAN ANTONIO – The San Antonio Metropolitan Health District reported 222,429 total COVID-19 cases and 3,454 total deaths in Bexar County, an increase of 183 new cases as of Monday. Thirteen new deaths were reported today.

Metro Health also reported that 142 patients are hospitalized, 43 are in the intensive care unit and 30 are on ventilators. There are 13% of staffed beds available and 71% of ventilators available.

The Texas Department of State Health Services reports 876,139 people have received their first COVID-19 vaccine dose, and 700,002 people are fully vaccinated in Bexar County.
