SAN ANTONIO – Significant damage is reported after a house fire on the city’s North Side, according to the San Antonio Fire Department.

The fire happened around 9:39 a.m. Saturday in the 13600 block of Landmark Hl Drive.

Officials said the fire started in the kitchen, spreading towards the back of the home, and is believed to be a cooking accident.

The structure of the single-family home, including a vaulted breezeway, prevented the fire from spreading to a connected home.

SAFD took around 25 minutes to put the fire out.

There was one woman inside the home at the time of the fire who made it out safe.

Officials at the scene said the home suffered significant damage, and “a lot of loss” is expected.
