Man killed in shooting at NW Side apartment complex identified by medical examiner

Investigators believe the shooting may have stemmed from a robbery

SAN ANTONIOUPDATE: A man who died in a shooting at an apartment complex on the Northwest Side has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner.

Octavion Kresean Hoskins, 28, died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the ME. His death has been ruled as a homicide.

At last check, another man was being treated in an area hospital with critical injuries from the shooting.

No arrests have been made in connection with the case as of yet.

One man is dead and another man is fighting for his life in an area hospital after a shooting at an apartment complex on the Northwest Side, according to San Antonio police.

The shooting happened at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the 4900 block of Medical Drive.

When officers arrived, they found both of the men had been shot and injured. One of the men was quickly rushed to an area hospital with critical injuries, SAPD said.

EMS tried to revive the other man, but he died at the scene, according to police. Both of the men were believed to be in the same vehicle at the time of the shooting.

Investigators said the victim gave different versions of what happened, one of which was that the two had been robbed and shot.

This is an ongoing investigation.
