SAN ANTONIO – School districts in the Hill Country and South Central Texas have announced closures and delays this week due to wintry weather.
Gusty winds will kick in Friday morning, with some gusts up to 30 mph. This will do two things: make for some wind chill values in the 20s and 30s AND it’ll help to evaporate any moisture on the roads.

Temperatures will plummet Friday night as skies clear and winds relax. In San Antonio, temperatures are forecast to fall into the upper 20s. Low 20s are expected in the Hill Country. As we mentioned above, any moisture should be evaporated before we dip below freezing, meaning roadways should dry out. Still, you’ll want to keep an eye out for any lingering wet spots.
