Woman fatally shot through East Side apartment window Dessire Allen, 35, killed at Oak Meadow Villa Apartments
SAN ANTONIO – A woman who was shot several times overnight while inside her East Side apartment has died, the Bexar County Medical Examiner's office said Wednesday.
The victim was identified as Dessire Allen, 35.
The shooting was reported just after 1 a.m. at the Oak Meadow Villa Apartments, found in the 2900 block of Rigsby Avenue on the city's East Side.
According to police, someone fired a gun from the sidewalk through the bedroom window hitting Allen several times, including once in the head.

Allen was taken by emergency crews to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where she later died.
