SAN ANTONIO - The Witte Museum is inviting anyone with disabilities or sensory processing differences to explore the museum before regular operating hours on Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon.
Sensory Sunday allows guests to explore sections of the museum in an extra-accessible and more comfortable environment, with less crowds, light and sound reduction and a designated Chill Zone for extrasensory-friendly activities, according to a press release.
The Naylor Family Dinosaur Gallery and Predators vs Prey: Dinosaurs on the Land Before Texas exhibits will be open during the event.
The animatronics will be turned off in those exhibits during the event to help provide the most comfortable environment for guests.
Only a limited number of tickets will be available for this event.
Tickets are $5 each for anyone over the age of 3 and free for children 3 and younger. Click here to purchase tickets for Sensory Sunday.
