SAN ANTONIO – Give your old shoes new life by donating them to a great cause.
New Balance San Antonio and Haven for Hope are partnering up once again to help for their annual shoe drive.
You can stop by any New Balance San Antonio location and drop off a pair of old shoes.
"It's a great opportunity to clean out your shoe museum," said Rob Kaufman, New Balance San Antonio Owner. "Shoes that have been sitting around, you haven't worn them for a long time, bring them in and they're going to go to the residents of Haven for Hope."
Kaufman said they're looking for every kind of shoe, in every size, including dress shoes, heels, tennis shoes and even flip flops.
Celeste Eggert, Haven for Hope Chief Development Officer, said this donation goes a long way.
Some of their residents come into Haven for Hope with absolutely nothing.
"We have about 1,700 people on our campus each day. including 150 children from age newborn to age 18," said Eggert. "They might have the clothes on their back and a pair of shoes that are torn and worn."
