However, according to Texas DPS, he is still in critical condition. Trooper Walker is still alive but remains in critical condition. Trooper Walker was called to assist a motorist, Pinson Jr., at 7:45 p.m., Friday, near the intersection of US Highway 84. That’s when officials said Pinson Jr. got out of the driver’s seat with a handgun and fired multiple rounds through the trooper’s windshield. DeArthur Pinson Jr., 36, is considered “armed and dangerous and should not be approached,” according to officials.
