DeGrom to get MRI for side issue after Mets win 5th straight
Mets ace Jacob deGrom was pulled after five innings with right side tightness in his return from an injury to a similar area, but the bullpen closed out a four-hitter as New York beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 4-2 for its fifth straight win.

Safety Justin Birdsong intercepted two passes โ the first against Louisiana Tech starter Aaron Allen and the second against reserve JD Head in the third quarter. โHe did not play very well,โ Louisiana Tech coach Skip Holtz said.
McCormick runs for 3 TDs, leads UTSA past La. Tech 27-26
SAN ANTONIO โ Sincere McCormick ran for three second-half touchdowns to lead UTSA to a 27-26 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday night. UTSA (4-3, 2-1 Conference USA) broke a six-game losing streak against Louisiana Tech (3-3, 2-2). Trailing 19-6, McCormick bulled into the end zone from the 2 capping a 15-play drive, 75-yard drive to open the third quarter. Louisiana Tech answered with Ezekiel Barnett's 60-yard interception return for a touchdown and the Bulldogs led 26-13. McCormick had a 6-yard touchdown run and broke loose on a 45-yard scoring run with 6:16 remaining.
Bregmans 11th-inning RBI sends Astros past Angels, 6-5
That first inning was outstanding, said Angels manager Joe Maddon, who apparently wasn't aware Ohtani was headed for an MRI during his postgame interview. After a strong eight-pitch first inning, Ohtani walked his first three batters of the second. But the Astros' injury-plagued pitching staff came up big for the rest of the day.
