โIf people need food, weโre going to have it for themโ: San Antonio Food Bank to begin mega distribution in wake of historic winter storm
SAN ANTONIO โ The San Antonio Food Bank is serving up relief for thousands of people who have been impacted by the historic winter weather. Michael Guerra, chief development officer with the food bank said itโs been their mission for four decades. San Antonio police plan to deliver food to the elderly and some of the most vulnerable. Pre-registration for support from the food bank is recommended for those who have internet access. However, those who cannot pre-register before the event will not be turned away and can access food while supplies last, the food bank said.
Motorcyclist remembered as man with heart for his community
San Antonio โ Family members remembered a motorcyclist killed in a seven-vehicle crash Saturday as a man with a heart for helping others and someone who lived his life to the fullest. โI was in the garage working on a bike,โ said Guerraโs brother, who asked not to be identified. โIt was like standard small talk, which was odd,โ Guerra's brother said. He was like, โIf you need something, let me know.โโAfter learning the details of how his brother died, Guerra's brother said he hopes this incident serves as awareness to others. Guerra's brother also said he hopes this encourages people to cherish their loved ones.
