For the first time since a Northside ISD educator died after being injured by a student, the district’s superintendent is speaking publicly — as the teacher’s widow says she is still waiting for answers.

The union that represents teachers and staff in the Northside Independent School District is calling for change following the death of an instructional assistant who was seriously injured in a classroom at Brandeis High School. The Bexar County Medical Examiner has ruled the death as a homicide.
