KSAT12 donates $25,000 to help San Antonians recover from devastating winter storms
To help the community during this difficult time, KSAT12 recently donated $25,000 towards the Let’s Help SA fund. By donating $25,000 to the “Let’s Help SA” project with Morgan’s Wonderland, we can help the city get back on the road to healing. These organizations are SAMMinistries, the San Antonio Food Bank and Haven for Hope. Haven for Hope provides, coordinates and delivers an efficient system of care for people experiencing homelessness in San Antonio. AdThe Let’s Help SA emergency fund will be open for donations through 11:59 pm this Sunday, February 28.
KSAT12 announces new traffic anchor for Good Morning San Antonio
KSAT12′s VP/GM Phil Lane and News Director Bernice Kearney have announced that Samuel King will be joining Stephanie Serna, Mark Austin and Mike Osterhage on the weekday editions of “Good Morning San Antonio” effective December 2, 2020. 1 morning show in South Texas, he’ll also handle the transportation beat and cover stories on San Antonio and Bexar County’s growth-driven traffic problems, as well as VIA’s new referendum that voters approved in November. GMSA Traffic officers Marcus Trujillo and Nick Soliz will be leaving us to focus on their SAPD careers and to spend more time with their families. Stephanie Serna to co-host KSAT morning newscast
SAN ANTONIO Stephanie Serna has been chosen as the next anchor for the weekday editions of Good Morning San Antonio and GMSA @9, the station announced Friday. Serna will join Mark Austin, Meteorologist Mike Osterhage and officers Marcus Trujillo and Nick Soliz effective immediately. Date set for KSAT's first-ever Halloween Spooktakular
KSAT 12 will be scaring up family fun during the first-ever Safe Halloween Spooktakular. The event was announced by Vice President and General Manager of KSAT 12, Phil Lane. The news station had its first public event earlier this year during Fiesta, treating hundreds of local guests. "The goal is to continue that tradition of bringing people together to celebrate in a fun, family-friendly environment," Lane said. KSAT named official Fiesta station through 2022
SAN ANTONIO - KSAT has been selected as the official media partner of Fiesta for at least three more years. The partnership means viewers will be able to watch the three main Fiesta parades and other Fiesta events on KSAT on TV and online. "If it's a big celebration and it's happening in San Antonio, you'll see it on KSAT12, KSAT.com and the KSAT-TV livestream app," said KSAT12 VP/GM Phil Lane. In addition to the Texas Cavaliers River Parade, the Battle of Flowers Parade and the Fiesta Flambeau Parade, KSAT will broadcast Fiesta, Fiesta, the official kickoff to the event and the Battle of Flowers Band Festival. The King William Fair Parade will be available to watch on KSAT.com and on KSAT's livestreaming app.
'Up Close with Isis Romero' set to debut in September
SAN ANTONIO – KSAT 12 News and Graham Media will debut a new innovative and creative news program that features unique storytelling, in-depth interviews and original stories that are different from traditional news reports. KSAT 12 will premiere “Up Close with Isis Romero” with two back-to-back episodes starting at 9 p.m. Sept. 7, with subsequent episodes to follow in December. “We’re very proud of the breakthrough storytelling Isis has created with this program, and we’re excited for viewers in South Texas to see it,” said KSAT 12 Vice President/General Manager Phil Lane. The first episode, entitled “Final Days,” gives an in-depth look at the 1992 murder of Theresa Rodriguez, with Romero bearing witness to the execution of her killer in Huntsville earlier this year. Romero worked closely with veteran KSAT photographer Eddie Latigo on the project and also serves as executive producer and host of each half-hour episode.
