2 taken into custody following crash with police vehicle Police: Driver ran red light; detective suffered minor injuries
SAN ANTONIO – Two people were taken into custody after crashing their car into a police vehicle overnight, San Antonio police said Wednesday.
The incident occurred just before 10 p.m. Tuesday near Pecos La Trindad and West Martin Street downtown.
Police said the driver ran a red light and crashed into the vehicle. The man involved however claims that the woman he was with was driving, police said.

Police arrested the man after discovering that he had outstanding warrants from Travis County.
The detective involvled suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash.
