Vehicle erupts in flames after crashing near The Rim Crash occurred around 3:45 a.m. on Worth Pkwy, near La Cantera Pkwy
SAN ANTONIO – A vehicle erupted into flames and a search is now on for the driver following a crash near The Rim shopping center overnight, San Antonio police said Thursday.
The crash occurred around 3:45 a.m. on Worth Parkway, which is located near La Cantera Parkway on the city's Northwest Side.
According to police, the driver missed a turn and crashed through a sign before going into some rocks and trees. Officials said they are looking for the driver who immediately took off following the crash.

A passenger from inside vehicle was rescued before the flames erupted and was transported to University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
At this time police say they do not know why the driver fled following the accident.
