Below are some of the best pranks we've seen so far this April Fools' Day.

Squirrels overrun UTSA's website

The homepage of UTSA.edu featured a parade of squirrels Friday morning.

The college said on its Facebook page that the squirrels were the result of a hack on the website, but the school told KSAT they were actually behind the nutty madness.

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));

Hey 'Runners, we apologize for the problems with UTSA.edu. It looks like a hack by some squirrely characters. We're working on it!

Tiger Droppings fill the sky at Trinity

The campus of Trinity University is apparently filled with Tiger Droppings on Friday. The school said some of its students have launched the service, which "allows people to both send and receive 'droppings' via drone."

One of the supposed co-founders of the project, Charlie Wagner, credits his pet flying squirrel for the inspiration behind the idea.

"Can you smell the possibilities?" Trinity asked.

Escalators at Alkek?

That was the message Texas State University shared with the world on Friday, giving false hope to the thousands of students who make the trek up the stairs each day.

The school offered an explanation on its website.

A day on the hilly campus in San Marcos will have anyone wishing for escalators.

Bobcats will have to wait, for now.

Whata-relief

Thankfully, Whataburger has not tried to trick anyone. I don't think our hearts (or stomachs) could handle it.

But the beloved restaurant did share a cruel idea for anyone looking for a last minute prank idea.

Tactical kilts

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));

Don't call it a skirt. The Schertz Police Department said it is getting a new tactical garment for officers "wanting to reconnect with their heritage."

The Police Department took to its Facebook page to announce their new tactical kilts.

Chupacabras at the San Antonio Zoo

(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk'));
