SAN ANTONIO – Police arrested a couple accused of stealing a case full of designer eyeglass frames worth more than $3,600.
Ruben Ramirez, 40, and Grace Rocha, 42, have been charged with theft.
An arrest affidavit stated the couple was seen on surveillance video stealing the frames from the My Econo Optical on SW Loop 410 in September.
According to the affidavit, Ramirez stole the case from the store while Rocha distracted the sales associate.
Detectives studied the video, which aired on several local newscasts, including KSAT-12.
The affidavit stated police received several tips identifying the couple and their whereabouts.
Police tracked down the couple to a home and also found the car used during the robbery, the affidavit stated.
Ramirez and Rocha were arrested Tuesday, according to the affidavit.
