Juan Jesus Robles charged with attempted capital murder

Juan Jesus Robles, 37, was charged with attempted capital murder. Police said that he poured gasoline on a man and then set him on fire.

SAN ANTONIO – An arrest has been made in the gruesome attack on a man that happened more than two weeks ago.

Juan Jesus Robles, 37, is charged with attempted capital murder.

Police said he doused a man with gasoline and then set him on fire.

The attack happened on Jan. 7 on the Guadalupe Street bridge.

A police officer spotted the man seconds later and was able to put out the flames.

The victim survived and told police three men attacked him.

Police said Robles robbed the victim before setting him ablaze.

Robles was already in jail on an unrelated offense.
