The Red Hat Society is a group of women who get together for social events and activities.

Only ladies over 50 can wear the read hat. Woman under 50 get to wear pink hats.

But the ladies tell us the society is about more than the hats.

"Life begins at 50. It's not over," said Bunnie Carpenter. "And it's mostly for fun, fulfillment, fitness, freedom and fun."

The ladies enjoyed a Cajun lunch and the traditional King's cake for their Mardi Gras meal.
