Guns, drugs, fake cash seized in East Bexar raid

Jonathan Wright, Kristen Wright arrested in Tuesday investigation

ST. HEDWIG, Texas – Bexar County deputies seized guns, drugs, and counterfeit money from a home on the far east side of the county Tuesday evening.

Jonathan Wright, 29, and his wife Kristen Wright, 31, were both arrested and taken to Bexar County jail on charges ranging from illegal possession of firearms to intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Deputies moved in on the rural home around 6 p.m. after receiving information about a stolen lawnmower on the property from an informant. On the property, they found at least 10 rifles, two ounces of prescription pills, three ounces of methamphetamine and bulletproof vests.

Deputies also confiscated huge amounts of ammunition and around $500 in counterfeit bills.

"We also found enough flat-screen TVs to fill up a Walmart," said Sgt. Albert Damiani.

Wright is a convicted felon, which greatly increases the length of possible punishments he could receive if convicted.
