SAN ANTONIO – Police have caught up with a suspect, identified as 23-year-old Patrice Boston, accused of a violent shoplifting at a 99 Cents Only store on Walzem Road.
An arrest warrant affidavit offered details about the May 24 incident. It stated that the store manager told officers he was attacked by a woman who he tried to stop from shoplifting.

The manager said he saw Boston and two other women stuffing items into their clothing inside the store. When Boston began to leave without paying, the manager said he confronted her but she responded by punching him.
He said he then grabbed onto her purse, and Boston sprayed him with pepper spray, then threw a deodorant can at him before running away, the affidavit stated.
Police said a witness obtained a license plate number for the getaway car, and they were able to link it to Boston. They said the victim also picked her out of a photo lineup.
